Who Owns Forsman Farms

Forsman Farms is owned and operated by the Forsman family. The farm has been in operation for over a century and is still going strong today. The original owners were Swedish immigrants, who purchased the land in 1908.

Today, the descendants of those original farmers continue to operate the farm with great care and dedication. They raise cattle, hogs, sheep, chickens and other livestock while growing various crops such as corn, soybeans and wheat on their 1,500 acres of cropland. Each year they produce thousands of pounds of hay that are sold around the region as well as providing feed for their own animals.

In addition to farming operations they also have an orchard where apples are grown for local consumption as well as jams and jellies which can be found at area markets throughout Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.

Forsman Farms is owned and operated by the Forsman family. It has been in operation since 1875, making it one of the oldest working farms in the United States. The farm consists of over 2,000 acres and produces a variety of crops such as wheat, hay, corn, potatoes and beans to name a few.

Along with farming they also raise cattle for both beef and dairy production. They take pride in their sustainable farming practices that promote environmental stewardship while producing high quality crops.
